Change front or rear sprocket?
#13
I must admit when I changed from 14 to 13 on my KLX150S I wasn't keen on changing the front; I always thought the norm was to change the rear.
However a 13 front was all that was available and what the other guys were using, so I went with it.
Having said that, I used that 13 tooth front for 18 months and it was still fine when I sold the bike to get the 250, despite adding a big bore kit etc. and using the bike exclusively off road.
But yeah, I feel more comfortable with a bigger rear than a smaller front, just seems more durable and less intense somehow.
