Like many other end of year buyers, I was wondering the same thing.

We have an idea of what the Yamaha WR250X and Suzuki DR-Z 400 SM will be in 2010, but I have only seen what appears to be a 2010 KLS 250 S on an Australian website. (The one in the "more black" thread.)

Some of the sites that show new models aren't listing a 250 SF for 2010, so that's got me scratching my head. Since the line just got redone in 2009, I was guessing everything will be the same, save some possible color changes. (Like blue or orange from the D-Tracker.)

Do the new Kawi's usually get announced in October?

How much power do the 250 MX bikes make? How come Kawi doesn't give the dual sport a modern engine? 17 hp - comeon already!!!

I hear what you're saying, but those pure race engines do not have the durability or service intervals of a KLX and similar designs. They are high maintenance, comparitively, and you get some very strong power for that compromise...and a bigger price tag. Bikes like a KLX are designed to be ridden with a modicum of care and fussing.

Update:

Looks like the US spec 250SF and 250S are up on the Kawi website now.

For 2010, they did the D-Tracker look with blue rims. (Like the 2010 DR-Z SM?!)

The S model looks just like the pics we saw before on the Australian website.

Looks like they changed the igniition slightly to "Digital" Wonder if that will interchange with our 09 or will the 09 ignition be a one of?
Like the looks of the SM & the black s. I can see the black plastics becomeing hot comodity.
Also looks like they took the radiator guards off the front of the radiators. Wonder why that is? & the sm radiators are black or have black guards. Cant tell from my angle.

Cheers Jim

Glad I got an '09 instead of a 2010 model, they are going the wrong way. Maybe they are trying to steal sales away from the CRF230L by lowering the seat some more.

You have no idea what you're saying. I'm sure someone will address the error in your statement here.
