I don't guess I've ever cleaned my chain and sprockets on the KLX. The o-ring chains I use and some Chain Wax spray lube seem to take care of everything. Since I don't compete in enduros anymore, I don't have to plow through every mudhole and river like I used to. I ride mainly in drier areas like deserts or mountains...clean, clear water...so my drivetrain doesn't get the abuse it used to as frequently.

I like to keep my chain clean: kerosene and ChainBath
ChainBath- easy, fast and mess free chain cleaning
What do you guys think about my idea?

I don't care about looking shiny (but I don't dislike ), I care about cleanliness, and this is my solution to have a clean chain.
The bike feels "lighter" with a clean chain, and less power is lost due to friction. Plus it extends the life of the chain (and sprockets), less noise, less gunk and I don't need expensive chain cleaner solutions.
Did I mention it saves the environment?
I don't have a KLX, I have a Versys 650, but this was a chain cleaning thread, so it was directly related to my idea.
