Chain Lube

RE: Chain Lube
I've heard you're supposed to soak in kerosene, but I haven't done that. It seems to me like that would leach out the grease between the o-rings, but "they" say that this is specifically recommended for o-ring chains.

RE: Chain Lube
The theory of an o-ring chain is that the o-ring seals the dirt out and the grease in. Lube, therefore, has no affect on the chain internals, however, in reality, as the chain and o-ring wear, stuff does get past the seal.
One exception that I've run across a couple times is that WD-40, because it penetrates, does seap past the o-rings, andeventuall disolves the internal lube (this is a bad thing).
So, anything that lubes the o-rings and preserves their ability to seal is a good thing.
That means there's no issue of whether the Teflon Dry Lube will work on a motorcycle chain or not - at least from an o-ring and internal lubrication standpoint. (How much lube actual stays between the roller and sprocket is a different issue ... but anything that attracts dust and dirt is probably worse than nothing at all.)

Here is what I use, it sprays on clear and all you do is take a dry rag and hold it on the chain ans spin and dry off the excess. Works great.
Here is the cleaner and oil for the air filter.

RE: Chain Lube
I've tried the 100% Columbian Coffee from Costco myself but it really slings off, I must be percolating it too weak.
I think I’ll just stick with Tri-Flow or maybe try this new Finish Line product.

Oh, I do trust you.
I think I will try expresso and a shot........................a shot of Johnny Walker.
A few of those and greasing up the old chain won't even matter for a couple hours; I couldn't hit it with a garden hose any how.
