Chain guide
Replacing tyres on my KLX and removed chain for complete clean.
Noticed the white plastic typechain guide that mounts under the swing arm is missing the2 long bolts and only hasone short bolt holding the thing on.
Can anyone confirm that there is 3 comppletebolts holding this thing on and missing bolts are just that missing in action.
I'm definetly going to have to go over this thing and tighten everything.
Cheers

RE: Chain guide
Hmmm mine has 4 bolts, all 4 hold it together, two long ones that go to the swing arm and two shorter ones that are on the bottom. You know what's weird, I have 7600 miles on my bike, lots of trails, rocky trails at that, gravel roads, and yes street riding, and I have yet to find even one nut or bolt even the slightest bit loose.

RE: Chain guide
So i wnet to the dealer and ordered the two missing bolts.
I know i could have bought them from the hardware store but i keep things origional.
Charged me $9 Aussie for the bolts and nuts
Rip off
The service guy said keep your eye on all bolts, nuts and screws on these bikes.
I will check everything now as the bike is apart for 3 monthly check over and complete clean.
I way over service my bike but thats half the fun of owning it.
Hopefully i can pass it onto my son and it will last for ages.
Cheers
