Default Castle Rock Flat Track Races

Hey Guys, not Kawasaki related, but I thought I would share my first experience at a flat track race. On Saturday Morning I left Forks at 5:15 and got to Aberdeen Wa at 7:15 I then saw a truck at Les Schwab that I had seen twice in two weeks while driving through there. This time I pulled a U-Turn and walked into the store and they were having a staff meeting, open but not really open kind of thing, so I walk right up to the guys, I guess 10 or so, and ask who's truck that is parked in front of the store? The guy that owned it stands up and walks over and I ask him if I can take a couple of pictures. He said sure, and proceeded to tell me he got the truck when he was 14, and it was actually in the family since he was 6 months old. Its a 1970, so you do the math. I told him we had a 72 in the family for almost 25 years. Anyway here are a couple of shots, and also a few from the races.

Here is one from outside the track, all day kids were riding stuff around, it was cool to see that and not to have any adults telling kids not to ride there, there was a feeling of being taken back in time to the 70's where people were more easy going.

Look at the home made 50 cc chopper

Here are a few pics of the races, I don't know who won, well I did because I had a great day

Nice pics Deej. That Chevy is SWEET! I've always wanted a 70-72 chev 4x4. Looks like I missed out on some good races.

Yes the races were awesome, maybe next year I can come down a few days earlier and you can show me some trails or fire roads. That is if diesel isn't $5.00 a gal by then I say start drilling in Alaska and if some greenie shows up to protest then make him disappear. After all there are a lot of bears up there. "well detective we saw him teasing the bears and then all of the sudden he was gone, we thought he went home......what kind of shoes was he wearing, we'll keep an eye out" Ok where did that come from? I gotta get back to work now.
