Lots of pretty colored bits available from Kawasaki Japan:

Lots of cool hop up parts too. Just put "D-Tracker" into google and dig deep. Several good write-ups (in Japanese) about big bore kits, cams, exhaust, etc.

Pretty darn slick. I love supermoto's. I am torn between the DRZ400sm and the KLX250s. I realize they are two completly different animals but my next purchase will be one them. Most likely the "Green Machine" based on what I've been reading here from everyone who has the klx250. I have been going back and forth for the past few weeks trying to make up my mind on which one to get.
Thanks to everyone who have taken the time to post all the info on this bike.

The white with blue rims looks amazing!! Does anyone foresee these models coming to the states? Possibly to compete with the DRZ supermoto?

Basically, yes, but a dedicated supernoto bike usually has a slightly stiffer street suspension, and bigger brakes. The more-taut suspension helps lessen front-end dive under hard braking into turns, and the stiffer rear gives more control for backing into turns with more control. And, of course, on the road there (hopefully!) isn't much in the way of big jumps and whoops, so a softer suspension is not needed as much.
On-road and off-raod suspensions are slightly different, if optimized.

But, a converted dual-sport of off-road bike still works okay for non-racing type road riding.

bmwhd,

Have you found a place to buy the black number plates for our bike? If so I would really like to know. I have been surfing the supermoto and D-Tracker sites but no luck yet. Need help finding these cause I would like to get rid of the white on the bike.

Not yet. Best I've found is to order them from a dealer in Japan but that's $$$

Some are cool. Others....well not for me.
I'm really starting to love the green after some early reservations.

I'm surprised more colour choices aren't available.
I can sort of understand it here in Aus as the market is relativly small.
I would have thought in the US you would have more options.

What i do know is that the US is number 1 when it comes to hotup parts for just about anything with a motor in it.

Example. I asked my local parts shop for info on the big gun exhaust system.
Answer. Not available in Australia and if it was it would cost $1200!!!

I guess I'll be ordering it from the US.
