Good write up as usual brian.... Didnt you say that your bike had some kinda "tank" that the over flows went into so it never really dumped stuff on the ground? Thats why it wouldnt start after the rolling log incident in NJ? LOL Do carbys suck in that much air that it brings in "crap"?......[&:] not cool.....

It did, but I took it off for that reason - I got tired of having to empty it after a fall.

As far as sucking in air, the flow is not strong but it definitely does flow. Otherwise, blocking off the venting in high water would not have any effect but that will stall out a bike pretty quickly. I noticed the vent lines I took off were dusty and dirty all the way up.
