Carb mods with stock exhaust?

Carb mods with stock exhaust?
Hey, new to the forum. Got my klx250s about two weeks ago. Still in the painful break in process, but loving the bike nonetheless. I love how quiet this bike is, but I know it comes at a price. My question is, will the carb mods detailed on this forum improve the performance of the bike with the stock exhaust in-place, or do I have to change the exhaust to reap the benefits of the mods?

RE: Carb mods with stock exhaust?
This is a great bike. It worth every penny.
I don't recal any guy in this forum leaving his exhaust totally stock after doing the carb mods. Of course you can do what you want, but an aftermarket exhaust system or at least drilling a 1/2" hole in the first exhaust baffle will help the motor breath better after the carb mods and increase performance.
I don't know what your resources are but a few guys have opted not to buy the pricy aftermarket exhaust systems and cut, drill, and weld the stock exhaust to their own design. I customed my stock exhaust and it sounds better (not to loud, a great growl) and I think it performs better with my carb, air box mods.
I guess if you can afford it, get a aftermarket system, if not do the free exhaust mod at least.
Hope this helps, I was in your shoes only 4 months ago.
