carb mod / hesitation

carb mod / hesitation
This afternoon I removed the smog stuff, did the 3/8 crank case vent, added the kdx snorkel and carb mods.
As far as the carb goes I went with the N1tc needle on the second notch, 125 main jet, 40 pilot jet, and moved the screw out 2 turns.
The bike seems a lot stronger but there is a slight hesitation or bog early in acceleration. What do I need to do to fix that? Adjust the needle, move screw out 2.5 turns? thanks for the help

Also, I started to drill out the slide to 7/64, but the hole already seemed that big. the 7/64 bit went right in. Whats up with that?

If the bike is new, are you looking at the correct hole? The slide is the smaller hole towards the outer part. Not the bigger hole in the center.

When you say you moved thescrew two rotations out, do you mean from the seated position or from the position it was already in from the factory. If you have a 35 pilot jet and you are currently at two rotations out from seated, you should go another half turn or maybe even go with 2.75 turns out.

Before drilling:
After drilling
Did you plug ALL the ports when you removed the smog?
Also make sure when you adjust the fuel/air screw....2 turns means 360deg not 180deg so if your watching the slot turn its like 4 if you will....check that too.

I plugged all of the smog openings with vacuum plugs. I tried to drill the top hole, not the middle one. I will check the screw and see if I screwed up going out two half turns instead of two full turns, but I am pretty sure I did it right
