Default Capital Forest video

Here's a video I shot this weekend at Capital Forest near Olympia, WA. The trail is pretty broken up in places, and everything was wet, which made it snotty and (for me) pretty tricky. Typical woods riding here in the Pacific NW. The other guy I'm riding with is on a TW200.

Me and my buddy were going to go to capitol forest yesterday but since it was opening day we figured it would not have had time to dry out. So we opted for tahuya. Which was snotty but even with a poker run going it was not very busy.

I saw the 200 get stuck a little there, they are known for not having the best tire on them. That looks exactly like the places I have over here to ride. Nice and wet. Hey....They don't call it the Great Northwet for nothing.

Capitol forest is lots and lots of clay. It is especially nice to ride on for about a week between when it is slippery grease, and when it becomes super hard, cracked, and dusty. There are hundreds of miles of trails out there with some really nice viewpoints. The park closes between Nov.1 and April1 for good reason.

I am impressed that you took a dual sport to that area this early in the season. Lots of expensive parts to break when your front tire decides to squirt sideways.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I have more that I'll try to post in a few days. The camera is a GoPro Hero Motorsports wide (not the HD version). Just got it a few weeks ago.
