Does adjusting the rear spring help with the hight? Or does that just allow for more cushion for weight? Also, how do i raise the front forks? Is it just a adjustment, or a part i have to buy? Thanks guys

Adjusting the fork height is easy enough.
Just loosen the 3 bolts clamping the top section of each fork and slide the fork up.
But this affects geometry.
I raised my forks about 1/2 an inch.
Which was about as far as I could without the fork caps hitting the bars.
Then setting the rear preload to about 1/2 way seemed balance the geometry.
It worked "ok" and best of all it was free.

RE: Can a klx be lowered?
Guys thank you very much for your great responses. I'm going to get a link (3/4 inch), raise up the forks a bit, and reduce the rear shock about halfway probably. That is, when i finally get a klx [sm=badbadbad.gif]

RE: Can a klx be lowered?
I bought an used 2006 KLX-250S and it's been lowered with a lowering link and I'd prefer it to be at factory height. If someone want's to sell their original factory parts please send me a PM.

RE: Can a klx be lowered?
I recently put Kouba Links on my 09. More for my wife than for me, but even I enjoy the lower seat height for now. We are both new to bikes to the added security of being able to touch easily helps to build confidence. I expect next summer the links will be coming off. By then the suspesion should be worked in good enough that touching should not be a problem. The dealer lowered the forks for my wife and reduced the preload on the rear so that it would sag more with her on it (dang featherweight hardly makes a dent in the seat LOL). I still find the bike handles nicely. From what I understand, you need to keep the front and rear in respect of each other so you're not upsetting the geometry too much, just lowering the COG really.
