Can I remove coolant overflow?
#11
There was a picture posted not long ago of an SF where the guy pulled the air box and put the battery and the overflow where it went. He then ran a pod filter. Not a bad idea at all on a street bike.

OK...I'm going to make a confession. Though I didn't remove my reservoir, I did disconnect it and start filling it with this stuff.
And IDRIDR...your crew could put PBR in y'alls.

I have found that the wolfman enduro tank bag will hold a six-pack of cokes on ice in a cooler.

this might be an idea..been brainstorming on moving the battery and overflow bottle...been contemplating chopping the rear side plastics...not sure if there is enough room in the air box area...will look tonight..

If they're riding XR's, they'll be too busy trying to keep up, and won't have time to drink...

And a coolant tank hanging off a dry bike would sure make for some wtf

ive had mine off for about 2 years. about 10,000 miles later its fine. i even got my bike so hot the red light came on. i was trying to go up a hill with 50/50 tires an it was like dunes kind of sand. whoops. coolant is still fine

Red light on? I always figured that the fan would keep that from happening. Was your fan running and just not able to keep up?

Pfffft!...I just ride 'em 'til smoke starts emanating from the engine and/or radiator area. On a serious note, 09Kawi, how did you know the coolant was still fine? This is one of the things I like about the Vapor instrument panel. It's kind of nice to know your coolant temp is climbing before an idiot light flashes on claiming, "I'm hot as he!!, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
