cam position

RE: cam position
I haven't noticed that sound personally so this is just a guess. Someone mentioned on this forum that as the cam chain stretches the noise will increase until the tensioner takes it up another ratchet notch and then it will quiet back down and the cycle will slowly repeat. I don't know if this is what you are hearing or not.

If the bike is still under warranty and the noise continues I would probably run it by the dealer. I mean if your hearing it above the big gun exhaust that means its a pretty loud noise. thats probably not good. My 2 cents...

RE: cam position
EMS, I just noticed a ticking sound yesterday. I have the Muzzy and I could hear it over the exhaust with helmet on. I don't hear it at idle, I mostly notice it when I'm decelerating. I'm going to try and locate the source of the noise tonight, and I'll let you know what I find.
