buttplug- how do you remove?
I read somewhere on here that you can just remove the buttplug on the muffler and it makes a huge difference. Problem is, I can't figure out how. There is only one allen head back there, removing it does nothing- does not loosen anything. Also, does removing the airbox lid make it more prone to crap entering thru the filter? I can't find the darn buttplug.

I do think you mean "drill out the first baffle" ? ? ?
Kind of looks like this:
Just get a 1/2 inch drill bit and attack!
Only drill out the first baffle plate.

well, i thought this was a fast mod, but evidently just for the 300. but when you do look at that pic, it does look like a buttplug was once there.
i guess i just have to get a new muffler to go along with the fsw header pipe.

yah i have a 300 and it is only on the 300r. but you can make a whole in the exhaust but then you cant put it back in. yes that does help opening the exhaust. opening the air box does help but then you have to rejet the carb becasue you are gettign to much air. you dont really get alot of dirt and grim in there it is only if you are riding in dust i suppose.
Hope this helps.
