Default buggered

hi guy's

been reading a lot of your posts, jetting, big bore kits all great reads.
im green with envy. i've been trying to get jets for the carb for months.

i tried to order the dyno jet kit but noooo. cant get it up here back ordered
for months then not available! also the same crap with ordering the q-4
back ordered for months . now there not available.

i've called alot of dealers and all the same thing . not available in canada???
W T F ! every way i turn i seem to be buggered with this crap.

i did finally manage to get a main jet, needle, clip and spacer no pilot jet.
same crap not available. i got an idea and went out and bought 2 very
small drill bits , screw'em there not beating me yet. and i drilled the pilot.

even with the stuff i had it still would not start without a fight, run the batt
down to empty and not even a fart out of it. so i drilled all the holes on the
tube one size over and the main jet hole about 2 over.

all back together and off for a spin. it did start a bit easier than before, but
not great, alittle bog around 6000 rpm on the street . next test the woods.

last thursday i hit the woods , not bad in the low rpm's second gear it pulled
up the hills and over logs like a tractor all single track and very tight. mid
rpm's still not great. friday i found a motocross/supermoto guy not far from
me . he might be able to get me a #38 pilot,#40 no luck. he said he might

have a fix and he drilled out the main pilot hole again.i thought i was the
only one crazy or stupid enough to try this. i figgered it couldnt make it any
worse an i have on clue what size jet i have now.

it went all back together . pretty much started right up [ holy crap ] it never
starts like that only in the summer. test #3 a short spin up the street
[ holy crap] no bog pulls great up to #5 gear ran out of road.

i got some pic's on photo bucket . i dont rember how to link them with this
forum but if you would like to see them there under albxlch not a lot up
yet. some riding of me and the wife , and some mods i've done.

i also put a set of led flashers on last week there moto led from
www.drcproducts.com they got some neat stuff.
i got them at www.dualsportplus.com he's about 5 min away from me.

the flashers are 602 orange led .i also had to install the flasher resistor kit
to make them flash properly. they came to about 120 with tax.

I heard they make jet drills, but this is the first time I've read about someone actually doing that. Awesome man. Where's the photobucket pics?

So why aren't we drilling out our stock jets? They most likely will never go back in after a rejetting. What have we got to lose?
