Default Broken rear Signal mount

Can't belive it............ I had my first failure with the trusted KLX310S(formerly 250)
My rear right signal bracket failed at the really crappy weld to the rack.
Didn't hit nothing or ever put it down. Just a fatigue failure. Luckily I care tie straps with and just strapped it up off the exhaust to get home.
So, I really am not wanting to weld it again as it's so thin it will just break again in time. Thinking about doin an aluminum bracket and fasten it to the rack.
Anyones else have this, I'm sure it's happened before.

Yep, I had it happen, but that's because when I first took off the stock ones to replace them with the smaller ones, I bent the tabs in to hide them, then when I pulled them back out to install the stock ones back on I could feel the metal weaken....I knew it was just a matter of time. Then I got smart and realized that the stock ones were 5 times brighter and I decided that life was worth more than looking cool.

Here's a picture showing the difference between the smaller ones and the stock ones...just for reference.

Anyway, here is a picture of one of my blinkers dangling down. I can still remember it from 2 years ago, I stopped in the woods to take a picture and the bike fell over and snapped it off.

You have to admit, it was a cool picture...except the broken part. LOL

I bought mine from a short guy, I think he hit them when he would try to swing his leg over?. Anyway the L. one was bent and broke off shortly after I bought it, no worries though I re-welded it with a nice bead and it has held for 2 yrs. Other than that I've never had an issue. Mabey add a gusset?.

I like the big honkey lights cause with my Sylvania bulbs they super noticible.

Im going to opt for the redneck solution. JB Weld . Just did it to mine and it seems to be holding much better than i ever thought it would. Dont know how long it will hold but its an easy 4$ solution. I reinforced the other side too since it looked to be on its way out also. colors actually match fairly close.
