Default Broken chain guide - anyone else?

Well I just smashed my damn lower chain guide to pieces... Even the aluminum is shredded. Anyone else have that problem?
RonAyers.com shows it being about $85 for the aluminum piece and the 3 plastic guides that bolt onto it...
Stupid. I'll probably try to make one with some nice heavy aluminum and some UHMW nylon. [:@]

Mine is broke too. Its not as bad as yours though. I was going to contact TM design works and see if they have one for the 300. There supposed to be indestructabe. I have already thought about making one out of some UHMW as well.

I'm buying this billet aluminum guard from Billet Racing Products...
Not a bad price for billet! It's on Clearance right now.

That's just the metal though... My dealership just quoted me $120 (Canadian) for the 3 plastic slides that go with it. [&:]

This thread was started a few months ago but work, missus, kids keep me pretty busy.

I got my chain guide from FRPOffroad (Fredette Racing Products - from the legendary KDX rider Jeff Fredette). Its a nice compact unit that is anodised blue. It is a heap stronger than stock. I got mine shipped from the states to Australia for about $35AUD.

I think I'll be ordering one of the frp guides. Is it only blue or can you get the silver?
