Breaks Squeak

Breaks Squeak
Wanted to know how to get my brakes to stop squeaking? I still have a lot of pad left of the brakes. Could they be glazed over and need to be sanded down? Any quick and easy ideas to fix the problem?

Larry, I want to be able to stop too. Do you think that I can just put the oil on the discs and roll it while hitting the brakes? Don't want to un-bolt the brakes, if I don't have too.

Tonight,
-get out beers
-get out stokies if you like them
-park bike on stand
-sip beer/toke stogie
-pull off brake caliper
-sip beer/toke stogie
-pull out brake pads
-sip beer/toke stogie
-look at everything for a bit
-sip beer/toke stogie
-sand off brake pads
-sip beer/toke stogie
-look at everything for a bit
-clean rotor with alcohol (not beer, but the rubbing type) or other cleaner
-sip beer/toke stogie
-put brake pads in calper
-sip beer/toke stogie
-install caliper
-sip beer/toke stogie
-observe the good work you've done
-sip beer/toke stogie
-pat yourself on the back
-then take another sip beer/toke stogie
-THEN suddenly remember to pump up the brake!
-smile with relief and sip beer/toke stogie
-repeat on other brake
I find itemizing my process to work well.

Just curious. How many miles on the bike? Did you just replace the pads? If so, what kind did you use? What do your rotors look like? What have you tried so far to get rid of the squeal?
