My Ideal choices:

1. Pure sports bike - R1
2. Dirt bike - KLX250S
3. Big V-Twin - Vulcan 2000
4. Sports Tourer - BMW R1200RT
5. Adventure Bike - BMW R1200GS Adventure

Right now, my 1150R serves the function of bikes 1, 3 & 4. Next on my list is probably picking up a used 600 sportbike.

Well looks like you are starting to show the next stage of symptoms for this disease. Haha but there are lot worse things one could spend their money on than multiple bikes.

BTW, I don't think your hand guards are a factory options on the R1150R. They are BMW guards but looks like it came off a GS. It is a popular modification on our bike.

Edit: Motoguy PM me if you have any questions about your bike. I had my 2002 new since October of 2001 and am pretty familiar with the bike.
