bored in the city
#11
I took some pics of random places to find in an old Louisiana city. The strangest would be the old hidden grave yard I found earlier. Any names on graves where families, but alot had no name at all.
It was deep under old group of oak trees, giving it that ancient feeling.
Following the tracks from there I went to a promising looking place that google earth showed me, but as you can see, the forest trails showed buy GE were long gone.
This area had a few roads from when they clear cut it. These roads where pretty fun, one led to my first water crossing and my favorite picture. Deej is right, the pics do look better with the bike in 'em.
I rode around here for a while then headed to my next goldmine. I'm sure everyone on the highway thought WTF since I was wearing my offroad pads!
Behind I big complex I spotted dirt going into the woods in two places on GE and knew I had to check it out. The first looked interesting and when I got there, it seemed fun, but after going in, it was obvious this was a big truck play ground and though the mud was fun, the amount of ruts slowed me down so much.
here is an example of the amount or 'ruttage'
Close to there I found a total gold mine, but it was wierd because it was MOWED! The way they mowed though, I could only guess it was for the LA mosquito control since it is so bad. But it was really fun cuz it made a really fun styled trail you could haul *** on, but still had to keep an eye on what was going on.
The entrance was similar to the mud pits
but the land was totally different
Had a ton of fun, also, i didn't stop to take a picture but I ran across a tent someone was living in, it was weird and didn't stop so the inhabitant didn't wanna come say "hi".
So many hidden places to find in a city!
