yeah I agree with you TNC, maybe it was Australian customs or something like that. Regardless I am going to try the gasket and see if it works. I have the whole engine out of the bike, I really hope this one works.

Gasket didn't work, I'm getting sick of pulling this bike apart.

Getting a copper gasket made in a last ditch attempt to get the bike RUNNING by this weekend.

This should be brought up with Kawi and let them know that this garbage is out there.

Lockie -
did you try to install the last damaged gasket shown in the photo? Not too surprised it didn't work. I feel for ya, man!

Deej - I don't think this is a Kaw thing. He's doing a 351 and received a bad gasket or two. IIUC, one may have been damaged in shipping/customs.

The gasket was OK when it left my hands. Customs must have damaged it when they opened the package.

Yeah mate I wasn't blaming you, I'm pretty certain it was Australian customs. I don't want anyone thinking bad of your business!

Bill has gone out of his way to help me heaps, so cheers

Yeah I did as per my manual, 11ft/lbs - 34ft/lbs both times.

I've checked the head to see if it's warped and it's within spec. Cleaned both surfaces spotless before I layed the gasket on.
