Default Block off plate

Maybe this has been aswered before, but I have spent a half hour looking for it doing different searchs and looking through the FAQ thread and did not see it. What is involved in installing the Bill Blue block off plate? Can you get the 2 bolts out the front without removing the radiator or anything else? It looks tight in there, but I didn't know. Trying to decide if I want to get the plate or just live with the bolt in the hose.

Thanks.

What is the advantage of this plate?

Its part of the system that burns unburned exhaust gasses. Most have taken the system off. but just plugged the hose with a bolt like i did. The block off plate removes the hose fitting for the system and just "blocks it off" lol

You can get to it, but yes it is very tight.

It is for the emissions system. Basically a little pump takes and pumps air into your exhaust. Most people take this little pump off ( this sits on top of your valve cover ).

I don't think it has any advantage except it ensures that your emissions is plugged vs. sticking a bolt in the hose.

I did mine when I got a big bore kit. I put in on with the head off the bike though.

Yeah, I have the bolt in the hose currently. I was just wondering because for 10 bucks if I can get it swapped without removing a bunch of equipment then I would do it just to clean it up a bit. Otherwise I will just leave the bolt and hose in place.

No, the very small fraction of weight and it will help keep the aftermarket header from coloring. Thats it.
