Blew a fork seal (I think)
Well, one of my forks is definitely leaking oil and I'm wondering if this is a tough job to do myself. The dealership is charging $130 for labor so I'm not paying that.. I'm going to try the trick to clean out any dirt that might be causing a leak but if that's not the case I'll have to attempt the job by myself. Has anyone else replaced their fork seals?

A piece of old film will work to clean any dirt that's stuck in the fork seal. As far as doing it yourself(although I've never done it) is not the easiest of jobs and you need a special tool to seat the seal. Check out these video's.

I know I have a bunch of film, in the form of negatives, in a box along with all of my old pictures (35mm prints).
