Default Bill Blue's TM33 on a 2009 KLX250s (Aussie Model)

Hi all, has anyone managed to fit a TM33 on a 2009 250s, (Aussie version).

Having some issues with the throttle cable, bill mods it to suit, but the U.S throttle setup might be a little different to the aussie one?
The throttle cable sits at almost a 45 degree angle away from where it should be.

Anyone got any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks

I have the 2006 and had no problems, I don't know if Bill has seen a 2009? Not sure what you mean by "The throttle cable sits at almost a 45 degree angle away from where it should be". I suggest you take a picture or 2 and post them in here or email Bill. Or both

Thanks for the reply, Here's a pic.
Look at the angle of the throttle cable inner, surely if you ran it like that it would put a lot of wear on the wire strands that make up the cable?

Default Bill's carb on a US 2009 IS A TIGHT FIT!

Bill's carb works perfectly, but as I said in an older post it sure is a tight fit. My throttle cable is a little more square to the carb than yours. My problem is the cable adjuster contacts or almost contacts the valve cover. I had to **** the carb to about 1 o'clock relative to the engine. Make sure the cable bracket sits square in the carb........the angle of attack that you have now will wear the cable. Earl

I don't have a modified carb on hand at this time hopefully they will be in today or tomorrow. Looking at the angle of the cable mount in the photos I think you installed it wrong there is a hole in the lower part of the bracket just under the countersunk screw that fits over a boss make sure the hole goes over the boss.

Default Advice for 2007 factory carb removal

Good day KLXers
Joanne & bill were kind enough to sell me a TM 33/34.
It comes with installation instructions. And I'm looking for advice on removing the old (factory) carb.
I've seen som pics from another post telling me to remove it from the top of the frame. But does that (et all) still hold for the 2007 model ?
I live 16 floors up from my garage so... I can use all the pointers I can get.
Thanks in advance!!
Sincerely Marc

Sorry It's the Canadian 2007 model

Hi Bill thanks for the reply! You don't have a pic handy of the way it "should" be do you?

Or anyone that has fitted this? If you could take a pic it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
