on 3rd clip, snorkel removed, DG slip on.

Well I put 58 miles on #717 this morning, all tarmac, my highest altitude was 3450, max speed was 59 with a average speed of 36 mph.
The highest temperature was 185, voyager temp sensor is inline between the radiators, not my first choice but the sensor lead dictated
placement. This was the first run after the initial heat cycle. Throttle was constantly varied.
Engine starts easy with enrichment needed for first start, after engine reached temperature, it started with just a touch of the button.
Bike still has stock clutch and springs and I didn't notice any clutch slip at all. The power increase that the 351 was intended to provide is
certainly there, I noticed no change in vibration in fact, I'm impressed with the smooth power delivery.
I changed the oil and filter right after the ride, I'll try it on dirt roads tomorrow morning.

Feels great riding the completed big bore klx! I bought a 09 klx250s back in 8/08, by 11/11 I had big bore kit #87 and I had gone thru the stock clutch plates & springs, ebc springs went soft but the plates were holding ok, and now were working on the Barnett springs.... that slip on the top of 5th & 6th gears now. I have the sneaking susp icion that if I had gone to stronger springs right off I never would of had to buy the ebc kit, as the stock clutch ‘worked great when I first installed the big bore’... lol hindsight
