iam new to riding klr's. i have a klr 250 and cleaned the carb. now the bike runs but it wont stay on when the bike idles low. checked the jets twice, checked the seat and needle. i just dont know what else it could be. i even checked the spark plug. no gas is leaking becuase i did the float test.that checked out ok. any suggestions??

Maybe ...
sometimes carb cleaner will loosen some crud up (good) which then proceeds to go clog something else somewhere else (not so good!).
Idle adjustment as mentioned a good idea. You may need to adjust the air screw as well (?), if so you'll have to remove a no-tamper cap to get to it (search the forum for how to, removing easy ... getting to it no so much!). Buying a replacement Kouba air screw will make adjusting super easy as the stock air screw is very difficult/impossible to get at without rotating the carb every time (sucks).
Double check the 2 carb clamps (intake manifold and air filter side), rubber intake manifold to cylinder head bolts are all tight ... if loose you should have had a problem before cleaning???
Is your bike totally stock? Or could a previous owner have done some carb work along with an aftermarket exhaust, air filter etc?
