Bike will no longer start in gear
I was on a ride a couple weekends ago and dropped the bike on the right side, picked it up and then dropped it on the left. (off camber, steep hill, short legs) Since then ifI stall the bike, I have to put it back in neutral to start it. Before I could just pull in the clutch and turn it over. Any ideas where I should start looking? Side stand switch, tip over sensor?
Thanks,

Check to see if you have an electric clutch switch. Look at the bottom of the clutch perch.
If you have a switch try bypassing or eliminating the switch.
My 2007 doesn't have a switch but I believe later models use a clutch switch

I notice on the Bike Bandit site under the handlebar controls section the picture of my '06 looks like a small wire harness coming from the clutch perch, but it's not the best pic in the world. I thought all the U.S. models had the clutch switch, but I won't swear to that.

Are you sure your '07 didn't have a clutch kill switch? I have an '06, and I could swear mine had one. I don't have access to my bike or my manual at the moment. Many do away with that switch and the kickstand switch. It's been long enough since I've done those things on my bike that I can't recall.

Unplug the wires going into the clutch lever switch and connect the 2 wires together with a jumper wire. If that allows it to start in gear, it’s a broken clutch switch at the clutch lever.

Mine started this last week and I broke the little tab off while trying to diagnose the issue. No biggie.
I just created a jumper across the wires in the switch, taped the switch back to the wire and screwed it all back together.
It starts just fine, looks stock and I have always pulled the clutch even in neutral, so the odds are good that I won't hit the starter and have the bike lurch forward--but it could.
Looks like the OEM switch is about $50.00 and there are aftermarket switches for about half that.
