Brian, I thought you had the same one as Eric, the snazzy yellow model?

i have the stand that lifts the bike with a foot pedal. we used it at the pine barrons last year. i was thinking of getting a lift that would put the bike higher so my back doesn't go out whenever i'm fixing some of the stuff i break.

Ah. I can definitely see the value in that. My back is somewhat problematic, too. It's fine until I twist or pull or lift a certain way, and then it's excruciating. I've learned to be careful. [:@]

Sears has their Craftsman motorcycle jack on sale right now for 150 or 160. I live in SLC, Utah so I dont know if the sale is national or regional.

I've got the Craftsman jack that Josh mentioned, and I guess if the jack ever gave out, I'd probably just get one of those simple fixed height bike stands, something like this:

It would be a lot more portable as well. My Craftsman jack stand is nice, but it is heavy and unwieldy if you wanted to take it with you on a weekend trip.
5-Gallon Bucket isthe best fixed height stand.....it is also a good garbage can, chair and temporary cooler for beer or bait..lol.

I do have a Harbor Freight bike lift.....looks just like the Craftsman, but cheaper
