they just responded to my question about the shipping charges. $57 from california to where i am in massachusetts. they use USPS. so for $106.00 you get a decent lift. i'm still on the fence as to wether or not i want one. i've spent so much $$$ on motorcycles stuff this winter i don't know if i can justify a second lift. still it is a sweet deal.

That's still not bad, I paid $250.00 for mine right from the shop. I only did that because I could put it on the Kawi card, so its like it was free right?......... I'll never pay off the kawi and yamaha cards. Sheesh.

RE: bike lift/stand
I have the base model Craftsman similar to Eric's except mine didn't come with the extensions and it looks more like a transmission jack, not a race jack. My bottle jack on it has given up or so it seems. I've bled the air out several times and refilled it with jack oil but it will only go up part way before there is no pressure on the plunger. Figures that they don't have a decent warranty on this stuff, bought it in June 06 and now its given up.
Might have to get one of these e-bay stands if they are still around when that "economy booster" check shows up in May.

I've got the Craftsman jack that Josh mentioned, and I guess if the jack ever gave out, I'd probably just get one of those simple fixed height bike stands, something like this:

It would be a lot more portable as well. My Craftsman jack stand is nice, but it is heavy and unwieldy if you wanted to take it with you on a weekend trip.
