Well, I went and bought the KX125. It was a killer price and it is a super clean bike. I forgot how fast those 2-strokes are on the pipe. I rode it up and down the street and it is nothing like my '84 CR125 was like.

Going to try it out this week and hopefully will take it easy. I don't wanna kill myself first time out.

Thank you everyone for the advice. This is a great forum and maybe in a year I will end up with a KLX after all???

that's one sweet *** toy. you know, those KX's are a bit rare these days since '05 was the last year for the 2-stroke haul-*** 125's for kawi in the USA. congrats. a KLX could never hold a candle to that bike in speed and power, don't matter what they did to the engine. but that KX does not have a piece of metal hanging off the back with numbers and letters on it either. hehe
