I store my bike outside year around, I got this motorcycle garage and a tarp to go over it, very nice setup. Worth the money if you don't have garage space for your bike.

It doesn't get super windy up in NH, but it is anchored down to a sheet of plywood, the bike is also on top of the plywood so it is pretty sturdy. And with snow, the tarp makes the snow slide off when it gets a too heavy but I still go out and push the snow off if there is more than say 5 inches on top.

Motogear Cover off Amazon. Covered my KTM, DRZ and KLX. Under $40 for one, bought two. Check out sizing. Three different styles, I got the Sport. Seems to fit off road bikes great. My bikes stay dry, there's venting and clips to secure the bottom for windy conditions. Just my two cents....

I posted a picture of the cover I made for my 09 in the pic thread. Page 137 post 1364. I own a canvas shop in Lake Tahoe and store my bike outside sometimes as well. The material I use is sunbrella canvas which is expensive but in my opinion worth it. It is guaranteed for ten years. I can make it most any color. The cover would be $300 plus tax and shipping from Ca. If you are interested let me know and I can get you some more info.

Hey, I'm not saying it doesn't get windy haha.
I just know that we don't get crazy winds, tornadoes or hurricanes very often lol.
That snow storm we got back in February, my bike was fine outside for that whole storm.
And that was a windy snow storm lol.
And for those of you who don't know about this storm, my bike garage/tent thing stood up to this.
