Default Bike alarms

After reading fgk228's story about someone trying to steal his bike, now i am a bit freaked out. I cant seem to find a thread on bike alarms so was wondering, what bike alarms do u guys use (If u do use a alarm). And what alarm is the best?

Thanks

I hear you can get an alarm fitted that rings you mobile phone when the bike is tampered with, and gives you the option to disable the ignition by remote with your phone. Sounds cool. Will at least give you a heads up.

I just use a xena disc lock/alarm, good and noisy. But it and any other alarm is only a deterrant all it takes is two guys to whip it into a truck and be off with it ,screaming it's head off or not, the thieving bastards don't care, best to have theft insurance on it if you can afford it, Even then you only get a portion of what your bikes worth. Pitbull, shotgun, explosives would be my choice but I can't do the time anymore.

""all it takes is two guys to whip it into a truck and be off with it""
+1 Thats the main reason I got full coverage ins. on my bike. Two guys can easily toss it in a truck, and be gone. I think westoz mentioned locking it to something in another thread, thats good advice.
