My fan has only come on once. It was very exciting. I was riding some very slow, technical, rocky trails in 50 degree temp.

... But hey if your in stop and go, grow some ***** and split the lanes, dont be paranoid highway patrol usually doesn't even see you and if they do they usually dont even bother( If your in a state that lane splitting is illigal)...
Not from around here are you?

Lane split in Texas and you'll either a) be shot, b) have a forest of car doors open in your face, c) have a LONG talk with the man, or d) all of the above.

Try lane-splitting in Maryland, and you will end up as road pizza.
But, if you happen to survive, you will simply get arrested. Guaranteed.
Stupidest state in the USA, for just about everything.

OK so lane splitting is not a good idea for some of you but in Colorado they look the other way, California it's legal, Germany as long as you have USA plates, spain nobody follows any road rules at all, Paris your lucky if you live threw the day, and here in North carolina I've done it in front of police and they just watched as I passed. But I really under stand you Todd in Texas, I lived in North Austin near Dear Park Middle school for a year and ended up in Travis County for pretty trivial reasons.

Hey sdunne, I see you are down around Fort Bragg. I'm not too far away - just up the road in the Triangle. I've been using Google Maps / Satellite imagery looking for good riding trails. Lots of good prospects, but when I get there, invariably they are gated with "No Trespassing" signage. I guess it's not really worth getting shot for a good off-road ride. I've found a few places nearby, but nothing yet that goes on for miles and miles. I've heard there are some trails out around the Harris Nuclear plant - that may be my next foray.

Down around here (fort bragg) theres tons of sandy trail on base but not really on base(no fence-just stay out of the artillery impact area) and near camp macall I havn't been riding much lately I have my bike in a million pieces waiting on parts( IMS tank, Dyno jet kit, rear sprocket, xgx graffix kit, and most importantly Big gun evo x exhaust system) But i'll post as soon as everythings finished. Im stripping down the bike and cutting off weight. Trying to make it into a real enduro. Im following a couple of things that them boy's did down under from klxzone.com as far as the frame is concerned. Changing the license plate/tail light fixture, cutting the frame, taking out the rad fan, Installing flushmount signal lights, re-jetting the carb, putting on a big gun evox system, fitting the IMS tank, installing pro taper bars, scott motocross grips, useing fold down 3 inch mirrors, black vinyl the number plates, take off upper chain guard, take off airbox snorkle, cheese grate the airbox cover, remove the cargo rack, 13t c/s sprocket, 45t rear, 108L-520P racing chain and finally put on the XGX graffix kit. And thats a start later it getting a new wheels berely legal tires, a new head, carbon fiber bash plate, denser fork springs, and possibly a mikuni 33mm pumper carb.

Hey sdunne im from the Ft. Bragg area and I have a place out in Raeford that I go ride. There is alot of people that know about it and of course its alot of sand but this time of year there is hardly anyone out there.
All the mods that your doing I would really like to see that or if you need a hand with anything let me know. I can always use the extra experience on how to work around a bike, and you seem to know what your doing. I work at WOMACK.
Let me know if you can use the help??
