Default Big Gun sounds great!

I just put on the Big Gun Race pipe and I really like the overall quality and sound of this system. It's pretty mean sounding and that's what I wanted. I'd guess it's a bit louder than the Evo X series. Still waiting to re-jet the carb so no ride report yet. If your on the fence about getting a new pipe, I say do it cause it sounds awesome. Throw that stocker in the trash where it belongs. The race series was cheaper than the Evo X too, so maybe you can still find one for sale out there.

Just how loud is the Big Gun Evo with the arrester and the quiet core? Is it loud at 5000 RPM? I live in a very quiet community if you know what I mean. How loud is it compared to a typical 600 sports bike with a slip on?

The panel fits fine, I just left it off to take a pic.........the sofa is a mess I know, I got it from my church when they upgraded. It was made in '63 and I don't think 20 people have sat on it ever. I didn't have the heart to throw it out, plus it's cool to have in the garage!

a 4cyl sportbike with a pipe obviously has a different sound/more smooth sounding. the klx's thumper sound with the evo is not to loud but just more obnoxious bc of the deeper tone. but i love it! i would feel ok driving anywhere with it. its not loud unless your really accelerating hard.

Thans man! That's what I wanted to hear. As soon as I get some spare cash I'll get one. I may have to get the lime green end cap too...lol.
