basically, a slip-on is considered to be a noisemaker. it's the header pipe on the KLX that is limiting it's flow to begin with. a full-system is always the best route for all out horsepower. a full system will give you something to build with later with the big bore, pumper carb, etc. noisemakers are really just for "this mod only" kind of installations, with no further plans to mod it. the full will give you a foundation to keep building horsepower with later, more involved mods which theKLX needs badly. if you don't believe me, go to thumpertalk.com and research the topic of slip-ons. you should've gone with the biggun full. paying over $300 for a slip-on is downright ludicrous and ridiculous. I think you went against your own wishes when you said it yourself- "why pay for the slip-on when the full is just a little more". the research you can do on this topic here is immense. your 2-bros. will sound good, but it's stubby and looks awkward on the KLX imo, and many say it's very obnoxiously loud. the BG just freakin sounds tough and when I put it on my KLX, it was like a shot of nitrous compared to before. can you cancel your slip-on trumpet? if you do still get your 2bros., you should look for a factory oem 300 header to complement it as it's not as plugged up as the 250's. just food for thought. another tidbit, the muzzy slip-on is nearly $100 less than that 2bros. you just paid for and it's all stainless and looks tons better to me. ok, i'm done now.

 

you guys really do NOT have a clue. and tbh, it's pitiful that you subscribe to each other's reassurances because you're leading each other astray. You both need to research slip-ons over full systems. LOL, do you think RC or any other rider wanting the most out of their bike uses the oem header if they change the muffler? Realistically speaking, if you just want a better sound and a little less weight, then the slip-on is for you. If you want all out horsepower, then you better get a full system.
