Thanks guys for all the help and info

Going with the 2 Brothers slip on. I ordered the p4 tip to play with also. It should be here hopefully next week.[&:]

Just got my permit today, and took it on the road for the first time. Wow lots of fun, can't wait until it gets broken in, only 190 miles on it.

Now back to searching on what to do next to make it run even better? I see a TA airfilter, jets & a200KDX snorkel in the future

Thanks again!

Header pipe: More Noise, less MPG and an imperceptible power increase.

basically, a slip-on is considered to be a noisemaker. it's the header pipe on the KLX that is limiting it's flow to begin with. a
He's the forum noise maker. According to him you will see no improvement over stock with the slip on. If you think the 250S head pipe has more restriction than the250S muffler, put he crack pipe down, put the bike magazines down, & ride. Even if its that GSXR slaying DRZ of yours

With the stock bore a larger header will kill alot of low end torque and comparing a race engine with a stock header isn't really the same thing.

yup.. with my complete system (larger header) the bike has more of a 2 stroke powerband.... all the power is up in the high rpm's...
