Default big gun evo r and dyno jet kit

I just finished installing a full big gun evo r exhaust and stage 2 dyno jet kit. The bike is now very loud but it sounds great! The bike also now revs much smoother and quicker. I can't wait for my new longer clutch cable to arrive so I can ride it. It sounds like a mxr now.

I also took off the airbox cover too.

Any riders near grand junction co? I ride about 80 to 90 offroad.

Also has anyone tried the big gun vortex insert yet?

I put the vortex insert in my system and it might have knocked the volume down by 1 decibel. Was really not much of a change to my ear.

Did you notice a power increase with the exhaust?

the sound will mellow down a bit after 1,000+ miles...q4 was quiet off the bat and sound smoothed out with less rasp after a couple 1,000 mile of use....the hmf was ear shattering loud...hurt my ears when i first installed...lot of metallic rasp with higher screams and lower rumble....after about a 1,000 miles it also mellowed down to more acceptable sound levels....

Ok I have now taken my bike to the desert and I noticed a lot more power at all rpms. Jetting is amazing and very easy to do. I live around 4k feet and still used the 128 jet with no issues. The exhaust has seemed to quiet a bit and with a helmit it is perfect. Just installed the spark arrester and that tamed the noise a bit too.

I can now spin my back tire in sand much easier. All I need now is to swap in a 13t front sprocket.

Btw I have a 2009 klx250s

Put on easton exp bars with two inch risers and have noticed a much more enjoyable ride and less vibrations.

I've had the big gun slip on on my 09 for a couple months now. The only problem I have is that the slip on only overlapped my head pipe by about 1/4 in. Tried moving everything several times with no gain. So I am going to order the bg head pipe soon and should fix it. I do like the power increase and sound. I just put a 13 on the front and 45 rear with new chain. This really brought it all together and I love it now. If I do a long road trip I will put my 14t back on the front, its wound up at 60 now but awesome off road.
ColoradoKrug: I am riding from Salina, Ks to Grand Junction next month. I'm leaving June 21 and I have to be home July 1st. I'm visiting family out there and hoping to ride while I'm there. I may have to look you up!

I ordered the bg full system and dyno jets also. I have an 09. Why will you need a longer clutch cable? Will i need one?

You won't, he ordered different handlebars and a 2" bar riser which would necessitate the longer clutch cable. Re-jetting the carb made a huge difference to me. If I were you I would order a Vettel JIS screwdriver. JIS is Japanese Industrial Standards, shaped a little different than a phillips head but works great on those too. I was trying to remove the top of the carb and I was starting to strip the very small screws, the phillips driver was "walking" out of the slots and stripping. My brother said "you need a jis screwdriver". I ordered one and those little screws came right out!

The FMF Q4 is significantly quieter than the big gun evo correct?
