you may be putting too much into this little problem. I haven't had any problems with my screws coming back out. Just check them once in a blue moon after you put some type of loctite on them and call it a day. Don't stress so much over it. jmo
Well i take my screws in and out every once in a while to run with out the vortex insert, i dont want to have to pay 20$ again for a spark arrestor....

anyways, here are the screws i bought, the original ones are on the inside, and the new ones on the outside...

Looks much improved Eric! This is why you need to have kids - $5 goes a long way w/child labor.

hopefully though I think i may have my bike sold. just waiting to find out tonight. if so, i found a Husky dealer down in Kentucky that discounts the Husky TE450 $400 and the TE250 $300. OTD price is $6974 for the 450 and $6374 for the 250. The fees are $75 which includes $25 document and $65 setup. I added those into the prices. That's a killer deal in my book. The Husky makes more power than any other 450 and was voted best enduro bike by cycle world. It makes like 51 horse at the rear wheel. unbelievable! I'm not sure I need that much power though. The 250 cranks out neaerly 35 at the rear wheel. I may go that route if I sell the KLX. Those European bikes are darn powerhorses.
Dude it sounds like that Husky is pushing your buttons like the KTM was mine. There are good deals to be had. I shopped around and got $900 below MSRP on the KTM, no setup fees, just tax, tags, and registration and there is only 3% tax for this type of vehicle here in NC. I felt like I got a good deal anyway. Had to drive about 1.5 hours to get it, but it was about $800 better than the best I could find closer by.

I took a little spin this evening, still haven't got the jet kit on or the gearing set up. You can really feel the power under the hood - it's kind've jerky, just a little throttle cranks on that rear wheel. Almost feels like its going to pull out from under me and leave me sitting in the air. I'm gonna have to learn to lighten up on my white knuckle grip on the bars. Definitely going to take some getting used to, but so far I like.
