RE: To Big Bore, or not to Big Bore
All I know about the older interceptors is that former owners always have a lot of good things to say about them. I remember reading a magazinearticle on the top ten used bikes to buy andthe Interceptors were among them.
As long as it's in faily decent shape, I think you will like the bike.

Dean, I said 3 and a few others know what a pumped and big bore klx is like. I mentioned nothing if you owned or did the mods yourself. Riding a 315 klx which I am sure had a pumper carb probably puts you in the few others catagory. Relax a little.

My two cents, I was on a dual sport ride last weekend in western mass their was a combination of fire roads tar, and hero sections . I was the smallest bike with my group most people had drz400 sure the beat me in the fire and tar roads but when it came to the hero sections most of the guys were impressed with the bike the heaver bike the could not keep them from falling over and when they got stuck they were tired from pushing it I went from a 650 to a 250 for weight purpose I like riding trail that you are in first and second gear advanced technical stuff. Power wont hurt either that's why I'm researching big bore kits.
