Big bore kit ordered for SF
I called Bill yesterday and ordered the 351 kit. I need to adjust my valves anyhow, so since its coming apart.....
He said he could probably ship it same day. I used pay pal and had to send an extra 3% to cover the fees. I also sent the core charge. When the bike is up and running like it should, the core can go back. Its only got 4000 miles on it and uses NO oil.
I'll keep ya posted.
I checked the valves a while ago.
Exhaust .006 and .005" Should be .0059 to .0094 inches so I have one a little tight
Intake .005" and .004". Should be .0039 to .0075
I think in English units.
I am going to set them in the middle of the specs so they can go a long time before messing with them again.
Tomorrow I will pull it apart. While the head is off, I will do a little polishing in the ports if needed.
David <~~~~~ Big cheesy grin.
Do I still need a chicken foot? Will a pidgin foot do?

Pigeon-foot should suffice...but, you're on your own on that one!
Good luck with it. It's really nice when it actually starts back up. Even nicer is when you feel the increase in power! My 331 runs out of really strong pull somewhere around 8000 rpm, but, I run it 4000-6000 rpm most of the time anyway.
I don't have to shift as much on the trails now. I can get the front wheel off the ground in 5th if I have to. It will wheeley in 3rd, now. I couldn't be happier.
Ended up with 132 jet, and almost 3 turns out on the air/fuel screw. Tried it as little as 1.5 turns out, but, it popped on decel at that setting. It probably would be close to perfect with a 38 Pilot and 1.5-2 turns on the screw, but, as I said, it is close right now!
