better tires than the 606?

Ive been running the CS 858 rear, looking forward to getting something new. It does pretty good on the slab (handling), so/so off road, no good in mud, IMO. As for wear, depends on how/where you ride, but it the slab is pretty hard on it. I guess that pretty much goes for all *****. I have done a lot of slab riding on this, I'm around 900 miles on it, not a whole lot left. No rim locks, keep the pressure 18 - 20, maybe thats why.

after looking into tire reviews more, i think im just going to say screw it and get trackmaster 2's. some people say they wear close to 606's and there half the price. im just suprised i go threw the dunlops so fast, i even run them at 30 lbs all the time.

i ran Tk II's. i got around 1200 out of a rear versus almost 3000 with the 606. i ride aggressively in the dirt with some pavement also. probably 70% street 30% dirt. while the TK's hooked up awesome in the dirt, to go through a rear in 1200 miles is unacceptable. i just mounted a new set of 606's last week.
edit: 30 lbs is way to much. try 20.

All the guys I ride with are running Kenda Trakmaster IIs and they do seem to be a great dirt/mud/gravel tire. Pretty good on pavement, and DOT to boot. I'm running an MT16 and I love it (GREAT hook-up offroad), but at twice the price of the Kendas I'm not sure it's THAT much better! I just did a group order for me and my group on Rockymountainatvmc.com and got a great price on the Kendas:
120/110/18 - $44.99
80/100/21 - $37.79
That price reflects their 10% off with the purchase of 2 or more tires. I also got free shipping ($99 order) and they have discount codes for $10 off going up to $100 off for spending anywhere from $100 to $500.

its not really bite im worryed about, its more the wear. i went to the mx track for the first time today, the 606 cloged up so quick it wasnt funny. once there was a clean line it did better but still wasnt good. hoping the trackmasters are better in some way atleast.
