Default the best way to top off a bad week

hey guys,

for thous who haven't been reading my posts, i have had some bad luck. running out of oil last Thursday, idling probs.

i have a 350k ride on tomorrow, so i was excited. i arrive at school to day and do the usual, steering lock on, disk lock on. its school but u never can be to careful right?

right!
get out to my bike buzzing with excitement about my ride planed tomorrow....notice that my steering is straight...(the steering lock keeps it turned to the left)...that's strange....also my bike is 1ft from the gutter now....that's strange right?

and way get to my bike and i find the ignition has been smashed with a screw drive, steering lock broken and my indicator missing, and the disk lock forced between the brake caliper and fork and some wires hanging out from the front.

turns out the cables hanging out were the fount indicators , my key ad least it fits in to ignition ...

any idea's besides a big kiwi to protect my bike, and i when and bought a new disk lock with an alarm.

Wow, I barely understood a thing you typed.

Anyways, sorry to hear about your bike! I hate ******** who have nothing better to do but mess with other peoples' property.

that sucks. get an alarm on it. hook it up to a 40000 volt battery so when they stick that screwdriver in the ignition they get shocked to ****. then hook a double barrel shotgun on one of the front forks so that when they unlock it and turn the bars the trigger is tripped and they are shot in the foot. (do not do anything i say in this post besides the alarm.)

Yo man sorry about the attempted theft been there....does your ignition look like this, its a pic of my Adv after it was stolen .... you could start it with a screwdriver when I got it back

Believe it or not...the best theft protection I have found is simply a bike cover ....theives shy away from them for some reason....well at least here in S Florida.

At least you still got your bike...my adv was gone for a week or so before it was recovered....thrashed of course, I was about to cry on day 7 before I got it back....but now I had an excuse to mod it....lol ... like 55 hp was not enough.

Get a bike cover.

Splicing a concealed rocker switch somewhere into the ignition line will help to stop them riding it away but wont help if they have a ute.
When I used to leave my car for long periods unattended I would pop the hood and remove the lead from the coil. Immobilized unless the thief bought their own, very unlikely.

Just reading your story makes my blood boil...I can't stand theives If I ever catch anyone trying to steal my stuff I will be putting rounds down range! If I miss lucky them, if I hit them and end up in jail, atleast I will have thwarted another theft in the future.
