The K270 is an awesome rear tire. DO NOT get one for the front, though. They're not nearly as good off road as the rear. I had excellent luck with a Millville sticky front, but any of the MX fronts would probably be fine, and like i said, they're all DOT.

The Michelin T63's have caught my eye- they seem like a D606 knockoff, a bit softer (which is OK in my book) and a bit cheaper.
I like the look and the price. Its between them and the Kendas.
