RE: Before.....
I guess digging this up was my fault.... surfin the forum.... and saw the Dodge.
Here are some machines I like to clean as well

Yes, that ol' CX 500 was a basket case.....
Sold most of these (the DTs, YZ, CB and a cople others I cannot recall) to get my KLX....
It was nice just to fix the KLX up to riding standards, and not have to restore this one....

RE: Before.....
Hey Ron, great pics in the album, that wouldn't happen to be Mt Rainier in the background would it? Where are you located. Oh and the mud bogging, is that Reiter or Tahuya?

Deej,
You might find training the wife on the XT225 not to be so bad. I taught my girlfriend to ride last year on a Yamaha RT100, which unfortunately got stolen two months later. She picked it up pretty quick and likes to ride now. My girlfriend will never like riding like I do, but now she understands my passion for motorcycling and that makes spending money, and dissappering for rides easier.
I bought her a 1985 yamaha XT225 Serow this year. It is mint condition with only 10000km on it. This is the first generation XT imported from Japan. Hard for me to get parts, but the shape this thing is in, it won't need any parts unless crashed. Great little bike, hate the colour though (yellow). This bike is perfect for the girlfriend and buddies. I don't want anybody to hurt themselves on a bigger, more powerful machine. Sometimes when the beer is in my veins when camping, I hop on the smaller XT225 bike to lessen my chances of an "accident".
How do you attach several full size pics in one thread? I've got some great riding pics I would like to share.
Here is my XT225

Hey nice 225, I bought the 2006 model for my wife, but I have more miles on it than her.

RE: Before.....
Hey Ron, it sounds like we need to get another Washington group ride scheduled. I think there is a DS run in April, Tony invited me and I think Wedge is going to. I'm not sure if I can make it. Tahuya is 2 hrs from my house, and I ahve an Aunt and Uncle that live in Monroe, so the possibilities are there. I am also if the snow and cold weather would cooperate going to try and GPS a good old fashioned DS ride here on the Olympic Peninsula. I'll let you know.
