Beet oil cooler connections?

From what I saw of this cooler mount, there IS NO FLOW. It taps into the filter cover on the outside of the filter (or inside depending on direction of flow inside) To actually have flow it would have to tap in dead center into the center tube with one of the fittings, but then if that was done it would be bypassing the filter.
The way this is set up it is purely thermosyphon for any flow and cooling. It likely won't be much.

I just noticed today that the after market head pipe that was on the bike when I bought it a year ago was at the most 1mm away from the nearby oil line that runs above the oil filter cover ..
Luckily a few taps with a rubber mallet on the underside of the pipe and there's at least half an inch gap there now.
