Battery problems??

Well recently my battery as bin going dead on me. I cant ever stop when Im riding and me living on a big hill helps I just push start it, but its not holding a charge. I charged it full and like 3 days later its back to dead again.. not sure what to do.

p.s. Ya I still didnt sell it I just can let it go...

Either two things wrong. 1. Battery is truely dieing and needs to be tested or replaced. 2. The charging system is not putting out enough power to keep the battery charged and run the electrically.

If you have a volt-meter, check the battery voltage. It should be in the range of 12.3v - 12.7v (with ignition off and engine off). Next, start the engine and recheck the voltage at the battery. It should at least be above 13v. If not, the charging system is at fault.

My vote is on the stator or regulator since the motor should run with out a battery.
