Bashplate from Utahcycle
After doing a search to determine which bashplate I wanted I ordered from Utah Cycles and put in the 15% discount code of 852147. The promotion had expired so I called them and they now have a 10% discount 45789. BTW, thanks again for responding to my Relay post. A new battery properly charged solved the problem as many of you suggested it would. There is a wealth of info on this board.

Thanks, I'll do that. It's a lot easier to do it right from the start then to struggle with it later.

Never heard of this stuff. Is it pretty common in auto parts stores?

I have never had a prob with Stainless fasteners corroding or oxidizing (yet). I have however started using anti-seize compound on many of the fasteners I take on and off (mostly car parts) , so I would 2nd W-Oz's advice. I bought this to lube the threads on a new set of sparkplugs. Recomended for plugs going into aluminum heads.
I bought this at the local O'Reillys auto-parts store. Looks like it's pretty much what W-Oz put up.
$6 for the big jar $3 for a small tube.
