I just noticed this http://issuu.com/carmensita/docs/kaw...re_pt_26022010 (page 14) p/n: 157CPS0004 and I'm very excited about it since I'm gonna enjoy my rides without hurting (a lot) my bike.It also seems to be a new product from Kawa accessories so I'm gonna have to wait a while.Prices varies between 60-70 euro, looks good enough for me!Time to check those nasty narrow paths I came upon last weekend...

I did put skid foam in there to help keep some of the mud out....don't really know if it helps any. W/e it was cheap
never heard of skid foam. Is it a real product or just foam jambed between plate and motor?

When I mounted my plate I sandwiched in come chunks of vibration isolation pad normaly used to mount machinery. I had heard that the plates amplify vibrations.

Kinda copied the uptight plate on my husky. Unibit cut through it like... well at least it wasn't like working stainless or chromoly

I just received a Utah skid plate. Six days from the USA to NZ in the S/Pacific. Not bad. Fitted up perfectly

ive never had a problem washing the utah skid plate. i would also like to say they last, cus ive bent mine to hell and its still taking it. as for drilling holes, i just see that packing dirt easyer and possible getting stuck on a log crossing or rocks.

P-E I think it depends on the type of soil your riding in. Around here in the midwest we get some serious mud, heavy clay type soils. they can pack in pretty good. You spray a hose on some of it and the water just bounces off. I don't know if you ride in anything like that. The holes I put in mine let me direct water in the tight spots to loosen up the mud.
Dan
Two days after the Bucky D/S ride, I was digging this mud off my bike and I found an earthworm living in it.
