Default Baja Designs tail light and license plate holder

Since putting on my MX rear fender back in October and fabbing up my own homemade tail and signal light bracket, I've had my eye out for something a little less ghetto. Mine was OK, but not very polished.

Then I saw vurtle's post where he had the Baja Designs tail light and I knew that was the one. And with the new tail light, I could then cut away the remainder of the sub-frame without much concern that I'd ever need to go back to the stock fender at any point in the future. I did retain the stock blinkders with yet another home made bracket so I've still got my eye out for some bright blinkers with shorter stalks that I can mount more cleanly.

Brian

I like the clean look...I want to move my plate up closer to the stock fender...I seem to remember someone had made a template and fabricated one out of aluminum. I like your under-fender light though.

One thought, since you cut down the subframe and it doesn't support any weight, couldn't you mount the turn signals to the frame by drilling it out?

Looks real sharp anyway.

I'm not sure if the threaded portion of the turn signals are long enough to reach through the frame tubing. Is that what you meant? If the right side had the same tab as the left side does where the helmet lock was, I think that would be a decent place.

As it is, I think what I'm going to do for the time being is take off that aluminum turn signal bracket, trim it down a little be more at the ends, and paint it black. That way it won't stand out so much.

Here's my signals. I'm worried about dumping it though because the stalks aren't flexable.

I don't guess photobucket works here.
